Are Muji Pens Waterproof?
Although the Muji gel pens offer a super-smooth writing experience with a solid line width that is almost always free from skipping, the gel ink that they use in their pens is not waterproof. One of the main drawbacks of the Muji gel pen range is that the pigment used in the ink really does not hold up well to pressure being applied to it after the initial application to the paper and it can smudge and smear relatively easily when compared to some other pens. For example, if you are out in the rain working with a waterproof gel pen, the raindrops can easily cause the water-based gel ink to run due to the pigment in the ink not having a chance to set into the paper first.
